Baseball America has announced their 2024 MLB Draft rankings with a Top-500 ranking of prospects.
Rankings should be taken with many grains of salt - and never too seriously. The Baseball websites do a good job identifying the top-25 and a decent job identifying the top-100 prospects but after that it can get a little subjective. They can't possibly see or scout every kid in the country so they are sometimes reliant on other sources for information and evaluation. Western players can be overlooked and sometimes under valued. Mock Drafts and Prospect Rankings are fun because they are the only thing we have in that realm but always kept in proper perspective.
RANKED 2024 OSU RECRUITS;
Dax Whitney RHP Pocatello, ID. HS Compensetory Balance Round B - 3rd selection. Between 2nd and 3rd Round and 68th player taken overall. To Chicago White Sox.
Adam Haight RHP Bothell, WA.- Cedar Park Christian HS 4th Round - 9th selection to Pittsburgh Pirates.
Zach Swanson RHP Toutle Lake, WA. HS 7th Round - 3rd selection to Colorado Rockies.
