Going to a Super is still a good season, even for Blueblood programs.
Wife is happy she can watch her shows on Fri/Sat/Sun

This season was either really relaxed because we were hammering the ball or extremely frustrating because we weren't. Unfortunately, it ended on the frustrating side of things.

Since I took time off for Omaha, and now I'm not going, I'm gonna go camping/fishing on the Deschutes. Looking forward to it.

Fan of the beavers and a fan of good baseball. This was the hardest team to watch that I can think of. So many mental mistakes and just dumb baseball plays. I think our mental approach led to a lot of the physical errors and our poor approach at the plate. Very little intensity and leadership. How many times did we win ugly. From my seat we looked like a group of individuals playing baseball vs a true team playing the game. Hopefully Mitch examines the mental side of the game and makes some adjustments.

It was a season full of high lights. We also somehow managed to have the most overall wins in the final season of the P12 while missing key players for a good many games. Our Skipper deserves a lot of credit for figuring out a way to accomplish that.
Every team has their strengths, weakness, and areas in need of improvement. Our base running, with the exception of an over slide on wet turf, appeared to be vastly improved the final weeks of the season. Pitching depth improved.
Defense mostly improved if evaluated overall and not by any one game. Also needs to be viewed with the understanding how a collection of moving parts from game to game impacts the performance. Communication is key on defense and moving guys all around due to injury, offensive struggles, matchups, or what have you, can have a significant impact on defensive performance.

Sixth-best season in Oregon State history, second-best ever that did not wind up at Omaha behind 2022. 2006, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2022 were better. 2007 obviously ended better. But no 2006/2007 luck in having a top-three seed go down in the other Regional.

Fun at times, frustrating at others. How our high powered offense can only get 3 hits in two games is BEYOND frustrating.
We never had 'that guy' who would get the rest of the team going when times were rough. Maybe that happens when you have a loaded offense. Yes it was a good season, not a great one as it fell below most people's expectations, both inside and outside the program. Omaha was the goal.

He seemed like a team cheerleader.
We really needed a Meckler or a Kwan. Someone who'd do anything just to get on base and get the rally going.
