Hit by a 97 mph fastball in his first game in AAA. If Nick didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any luck at all. I know he doesn't offer a lot in the new analytics world, but holy crap his career has had some strange turns. terrible trade by the SOX, nagging injuries, getting one at bat a game and being expected to produce. be better off to get well, get out of the Cubs organization and get a fresh start. should still be a place for a guy who can hit, get on base, run a little and defend. good luck Nick

The Mariners need a second baseman who doesn't strike out all the time. As often happens, Polanco comes to Seattle as a .265 career hitter and immediately nosedives to .195. Bliss is a backup at best. Dylan Moore has some pop but strikes out 1/3 of the time.
Seattle could get him cheap, stick him in the lineup at him 9th and let him do what he does. Nobody hits for power in Seattle anyways in that heavy air.
