I'm surprised that OSU got both Gonzaga and St Mary's twice. WCC has a system to help the top 2-3 teams RPI by only playing the lowest RPI teams just once. They have been doing that for a few seasons now.

Yeah after we had heard all along that OSU/WSU weren't going to get 2 games against Gonzaga/St. Mary's, not get them at home, etc. I'm surprised for sure that it ended up being WSU we only see once. Glad it's a home game for us too.

Will be interesting as the WCC literally has doubled the amount of NW teams they have, at least for 2 seasons, always been just Gonzaga/Portland and a bunch of California schools. And starting next season 25-26 both Seattle U and Grand Canyon are joining the WCC.

Glad we got a home game with the Zags, that will be a big crowd.
Going to the SMC/USF road trip would be fun. Great gyms to watch a game in.
Our longest flight will be to San Diego, and the Colorado/Utah road trip is eliminated. That's a plus, too.
So call me crazy or disagree, but I think the WCC works out very well for us for MBB, WBB, volleyball and both soccers.

Get 2 Bay Area trips as both Pacific and Santa Clara are in the Bay Area along with SF and St Mary's. Plus, OSU will get to play a game in Portland. At Chiles Center, but still.

It's a stretch to call Stockton part of the Bay Area. That's like saying Corvallis is part of Portland.

Closer than the WSU/UW, ASU/UA and Utah/Colorado road trips, and only 30 miles longer than the Cal-Stanford trip. You can fly into San Jose and be at UOP in less than two hours.

I didn't say how far they are from other schools. I just don't consider Stockton in the Bay Area like I don't consider Corvallis in the Portland Metro Area. They both are 75 miles apart driving.

Yeah, works out great except that the affiliation cost us most of our best players. Besides that little consideration, great.

I think the Stockton Swing Bridge (Stockton west side) is literally about 17 minutes drive time from the CA 4 Old Bridge (entryway to Contra Costa County, part of the Bay Area) according to Google anyways. Sure, it’s a technicality, but the Bay Area is pretty huge, not just SanFrancisco.

They have been doing that for a few seasons now. Gonzaga is missing Pacific and San Diego, which are two of the three teams with the worst NET in the West Coast Conference in 2024. Wazzu is notably missing the other half of Loyola-Marymount. Loyola-Marymount will be playing all eight non-affiliate members home-and-away. They travel to Corvallis and get Wazzu in Los Angeles. Maybe add a trip to Wazzu in nonconference? Add some of the Pac-10 teams as nonconference games. That could be a great schedule.
