This trip will be last minute if I go. One family member can't go for sure. Another is checking. Another lives in Charlotte and may be able to reschedule and meet me there?? I'd rather one or all save time for the CWS instead. Haven't seen anyone else on the board say they are going for sure, have you? |

Nah I haven't seen any commits. I'm anchored with the young kids but I'd love to see some pictures and get field reports of a stadium we won't be at much. jefframp you going? |

Yes, with EugeneDave as my wing man. Wife declined this time though. PDX flying to CVG and then drive to Lexington/Hamburg area on Friday arriving around 1 am on Saturday. Glad we can sleep in before the OSU get together. |

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on one's perspective I'll not be making a 1st journey to Kentucky. A change in some plans (kids!), a new family gathering opportunity... combo son's bday, granddaughter's 6th bday, Father's day... means extended beach stay with family. Roku stick already packed as not to forget it! Kentucky trip was always going to be last minute and a place I've never been. But, maybe this series makes a connection and OSU will return in the regular season sometime soon?! The CWS is an event that was very fun the first two times (I was under 50 y/o!), just ok the 3rd, and a event that is very "been there, done that" for me. It is stretched out far too long, costs a fortune the longer your teams stays alive, and other than OSU games and some golf, it can get boring/old. I'm also not one who wants to party and deal with shoulder to shoulder crowds 5, 6, 7, 8,+ days/nights in a row. If you think you see some "sh&t" at Goss or Reser... you'll be surrounded by it in Omaha. From typical drunken (to profoundly drunk) shenanigans/behaviors to WTF!! "... what do you mean I can't take my pistol in... I have a permit..." However, It is well worth it for every college baseball fan at least once. May even be better going if you do not have a team playing and spending commitment not tied to how long they are playing??? But, after (4) teams are eliminated crowds get somewhat smaller (but more arrogant), hotel rooms cheaper. Only one of my kids wanted to attend in 2018 and it was more fun for him as it was his first time. If we go back we'd skip the first 4 days... do the semis & finals. IF you have the disposable $$ it is a cool trip. Otherwise watch the games you want on TV/recorded... and spend the $$ on family time. |

I think it's most fun at the beginning when all teams are there. The buzz is pretty cool
