Very few of them at the game tonight. Long story short, a UCI woman claimed assault when a man in Section 3 got out of his seat to go to the bathroom and accidentally bumped into her on the stairs next to his seat, where she should not have been. Fortunately, lots of witnesses, including a high level OSU athletic dept person. Just bizarre.

...on 2nd Street Friday night according to r/Corvallis. Anyone know anything about that? Not sure how much I trust Reddit as a source of "news". One person describes Tulane U. location as Mad Max-like, attracting the same types of folks. That Reddit thread is a hot mess. Sounds like it was more about some drunk kids getting kicked out of a bar.

It's like when Esquer took over Furd and they came to Goss a couple years ago. Their dugout was super chippy, and their fans obnoxious as hell.....much different than Marques Fird teams as far I could tell I don't know much about Orloff other than he played under Gillespie. I don't remember if UCI was like this back in 2014. Or maybe it's just this group of recruits, and their parents.......I can speak from experience (high school level club sports) that when you have toxic parents, typically the kids emulate the toxic behavior. And often, at least at the level my kid is at, coaches/clubs will choose the "Karens" and their kid if the kid has talent. It's short sighted, and often destroys the team from the inside out......not saying this is UCI, but often when theres smoke, there's fire. Or.....maybe UCI just happened to have their worst fans in attendance, and they had a few too many oat sodas.

No idea about Irvine because Gillespie teams never had that reputation, that I can recall.

I think Esquer coached Cal when they trashed the visiting locker room, in 2006 or 2007. Future MLB pitcher Tyson Ross threw a chair through a wall, busted some lights and there was some other damage. Jess showed it to Pat and Pat locked them out of the locker room the next day, can't remember if they had to return to their hotel to dress.
No one has used it since, and it's been converted to a study lounge or something. Visiting teams now dress at their hotel and go to Gill if they want on-campus postgame shower access. Cal was always very chippy and lippy when he coached there.
Stanford, OTOH, always treated the LR with respect. The OSU field staff hated it when Marquess came to town because he was sort of a petty tyrant to the working stiffs, but he left the LR clean and the Cardinal picked up their garbage and always wore a suit and tie.
