...on 2nd Street Friday night according to r/Corvallis.
Anyone know anything about that? Not sure how much I trust Reddit as a source of "news". One person describes Tulane U. location as Mad Max-like, attracting the same types of folks.

Also reports of a fight near section 3 after last night’s game. UCI fans and beavers fans yelling back and forth all game. Police were down there 4 or 5 times trying to settle things down. Don’t think either team’s fan base had anything to be proud of.

For those of us who sit there, the drunk Irvine fans were yelling and screaming at Section 3 from the get go. Never seen anything like how bad they were in all my years there. Some of the Beav fans did yell back but most ignored it. In the final innings, Irvine fans were coming down into Section 3 and yelling and it got pretty heated. The police erred in not making them take their seats from the start.

She was standing at the top of the stairs which is the exit/entrance to Section 3. No idea what it was all about though. I walked past the area right after the game and saw no commotion then.

I heard from someone who sits behind the UCI dugout that Irvine fans up in their section were as bad as he/she had ever heard. He/she is no OSU homer, either, and is someone who has called out Beaver fans when they're acting stupid.
Tulane fans just sat in their seats and cheered in the two GW games I saw. Vocal but friendly. Talked to the head of their FCA program for part of the Nicholls game. They loved it out here, especially the weather.

They would has stopped the shenanigans or people would have went out in cuffs

I’m sure the officers there are fine, I think the troopers project more authority. From my seat the police had to go down there 4 or 5 times to settle things down. At some point you do what has to be done to stop the shenanigans or you lose your authority. It’s like raising kids, you can only count to 3 so many times

I wasn’t there - was watching on tv… but you woulda thought it was an Irvine home game, by the sounds on tv. Maybe the microphones were right by their section? Anyhow , the impression through the screen was Irvine fans were loud and vocal… which is always a slippery slope to jackassery.

Don't mess with the OSP. Too many fans (of both teams) don't use their seats and instead congregate on the concourse and cause massive bottlenecks.

Probably the safest and most beautiful part of one of the worlds most culturally rich and significant cities. The school draws a lot of student a from the northeast, Chicago area, and west coast. Acceptance rate is about 10%. Fans are fun and gracious, unless you’re LSU. Hardly mad max.

Stadium protocol states that there are to be no fans congregating in the walkways. Period. It's been brought to the AD for years, yet fans stop and watch next to the upper railing every game. So, as mentioned, you don't enforce it, then over time it becomes fan protocol to think it's allowed. Then... It's pretty simple, Trooper or other... you canvas and simply tell fans they can't stand there... use your assigned seat, the SRO area, or leave. The second time you notice the same fan(s) option 3 is their choice. But, you can't expect visitors to adhere to policies that aren't enforced... standing or unruly behavior.

Safest parts of the city in green.Everything that you say is generally true, but Tulane itself is much less safe than pretty much everything else Uptown, as you might expect.
