Arky losing highlights changes in the game that have been bemoaned pretty hard on here. They have some of the best pitching in the country but their bats are not on that level. They have won a ton of games and series but with how strong offense is right now you need to be ready to slug every game.
Really looks like the paradigm has shifted to needing an explosive offense to make a deep run in the post season. Don't get me wrong solid pitching is important but the idea of what that is has changed so dramatically (like 4.3 era and 1.35 WHIP). You need to be able to take advantage with a deluge of scoring.

Indiana State does not want to do us any favors. Multiple errors and baserunning mistakes. Could very easily be a 3-2 or 2-2 game, instead they're down 3-0.

Indiana State has put the leadoff runner on every inning but two. In the second, the refs called a fair ball foul, which led to a base hit coming off of the board. The Sycamores should have had the bases loaded last inning, but the ump called ball four strike three. |

Through 83 games RPI is 67.4% accurate. Remember that most of the higher RPI are hosting and have home field advantage so...yeah thats a D.
