That golf championship, by the way, was contested on the duck's home course, a course vastly different from any course other teams have any experience on, and was served up by the fact that Texas' number one player, Scottie Schefler, was unable to participate due to injury. On a side note, Oregon's #1 golfer, Aaron Wise, lost his match on the final day of match play vs. Texas. What is so different about the Eugene Country Club? Don't think it's that different from other courses I've played. The ucks also had Wyndham Clark on that team. Correction: It was Texas' Beau Hossler who was injured and could not play in the championship round against Oregon, thus forfeiting his match and Oregon began the day leading 1-0 before the competition even started. Scottie Scheffler did play and defeated Aaron Wise 3 and 2. Wyndam Clark had not yet arrived at Oregon and was not on the duck's roster that day. I mentioned Eugene Country Club as being a different course only because I doubt any players from Texas had played on such a narrow, tree lined course as ECC.

I cant stand LSU or NC - not sure who to root for in this game NC up 2-1 top of second. I hate LSU for the home cooking in the 2004 football opener. I hate LSU for Greg Street. I hate LSU for the general umpiring in 2017. I hate LSU for 2012 and 2023. I hate LSU because they stole Skenes from Oregon State. I hate LSU, because they are funneling Oregon State's research money back into LSU sports. I hate LSU for F. King Alexander. You can convincingly argue that F. King Alexander helped put Oregon State athletics into the general predicament that we currently find ourselves. I f#*king hate LSU. Loath them. They suck and are scum. They are everything wrong with college athletics currently. On the other hand, Oregon State has never won a National Championship without beating North Carolina. I personally want to see North Carolina in another Championship Game. I tend to think that the same thing that made North Carolina so beatable for Oregon State in 2006, 2007, and 2024 is still the same thing that makes North Carolina so beatable in 2024. Oregon State is in their heads. I remember back in 2006 that some North Carolina fans were talking about how much it sucked to lose the Championship Game but how cool it was for Oregon State to win a National Championship in any sport, since the Beavs had not won a National Championship since 1961 at the time. I found them to be magnanimous in a way that LSU never was. Plus, if LSU wins, Omaha will just be filled with Tiger fans. Go North Carolina!

FSU with two bombs in the first inning and another in the second. UCONN's ace is out after 1 and 2/3. Rough start for the Huskies.

Just got back inside to see another FSU home run to make it 11 to 1 in the 6th. FSU looks like a contender.

Just got back inside to see another FSU home run to make it 11 to 1 in the 6th. FSU looks like a contender. Surprisingly they are a team that really no one has been pumping up, especially a 45-15 team from Florida?! If you watch their games/highlights they are very sound... Offensively... hit .314 as a team, (5) guys with double digit HRs (112 total), 61-71 in SB, (6) starters with OPS .900+ to 1.267... Pitching... Arnold is their only "true" starters 17APP/16S... 11-3, 2.45, 95 IP, 22BB, 146 K, .212 BAA... is a STUD. FSU then mixes and matches other starters... only two other guys have (9) starts. Staff averages over 10 Ks/game in their 60 games... about 4.6 BBs... 642K/285BB. They field it at .979 and although teams are 33/37 in SB, they have only attempted 37 in 60 games.

Wasn't expecting UCONN-FSU to be a FB score. UCONN looked pretty good beating Oklahoma last weekend. Not so much today.
