THE GUESTS: The Corvallis Regional has four teams that are known for their offense and ability to score runs, so I decided to take a close look at the pitching we will see this weekend. Nicholls State comes here with a 38-20 record and finished second to Lamar in the Southland Conference with a 16-8 record. They won the SLC Tournament by defeating McNeese State. Tulane is here with a 35-24 record, finishing T3rd in the American Athletic Conference with a 15-12 record but won the AAC Tournament. UC-Irvine comes to Corvallis with a 43-12 record and are the Big West Conference runner up to UC-Santa Barbara. UCI was 22-8 finishing 4 games behind the Gauchos.
