Somebody here grumbled several months ago about how old the OSU specialty Oregon license plates looked. Just got an e-mail from the alumni association with the new design, it is very sharp.  |

View Attachment I like them, but I can't give up my Sailor Benny I've had since 1998. I don't see a lot of the original ones. |

View Attachment big improvement Yep. After the original ones that I have, they just used a sticker that turned from orange to salmon. I like the new ones and it’s about time they released them. |

I've already talked the missus into getting them. BUT I would prefer the same design but with an orange background and Benny Beaver.

View Attachment I like my retro "Pacific Wonderland" plates but, I gotta go for these. The Pacific Wonderland" plates should be our standard plate, instead of that ugly-ass Charlie Brown fir tree. Oregon has one of the worst standard plates in the country. I wanted to get PW plates, but you can't get a vanity plate. I asked the lady why, and she said "because it's not historically accurate, they weren't available in 1968 (or 69 whenever they were issued). I replied that they also didn't cost $70 or $80 bucks or whatever they are charging, in 1969, either. |
