So by that thinking we are the wildcard team "if" we win? I remember them saying that all AZ had to do was win one game and they were in the semi's. If Arizona wins one game, the Wildcats are in the semis. If Washington wins tonight, Oregon State would have a true quarterfinal win-and-you-are-in situation. Beat Arizona State and advance to play Oregon, USC, or Cal. If Arizona wins, though, Oregon State has to win tomorrow and then cheer on the Wildcats against the Bears. If Arizona and Oregon State both wins tomorrow, Oregon State will play the Oregon-USC winner. (Cal is eliminated with a loss to Arizona.)

Oregon State win scenarios tomorrow:
Oregon State, Oregon, & Arizona win:
#8 Stanford v. #1 Arizona #3 Oregon v. #2 Oregon State
Oregon State, Oregon, & Cal win:
#8 Stanford v. #1 Arizona #6 Cal v. #3 Oregon
Oregon State, USC, & Arizona win:
#8 Stanford v. #1 Arizona #4 USC v. #2 Oregon State
Oregon State, USC, & Cal win:
#8 Stanford v. #1 Arizona #6 Cal v. #4 USC
The best scenario is probably Oregon State, Oregon, and Arizona winning, because Oregon will have the best RPI. The Beavs probably need to get to the Pac-12 Championship Game just to salvage a regional host at this point or get help. A Pac-12 Championship Game is probably a bare minimum to get a top eight seed or even more help.
Oregon State really needed Washington to pull off the upset tonight.

Wow, it genuinely is in Arizona’s best interest to lose today. Zero impact to their next game and they avoid having to play a team that nearly swept them at home. Meanwhile, Cal has to win to keep their postseason aspirations alive.

Meanwhile, Cal has to win to keep their postseason aspirations alive. I would argue the other point. Seems to me that winning out and winning the PAC 12 tournament benefits them in their chances to host a regional.

I hope you are right! I also think winning (and losing) can be contagious…you always want to give your best effort. Go cats! (Just threw up a little in my mouth when writing that)
