There's a team in the Missouri regional final called the Omaha Mavericks. What? They were in the cat bird seat with Missouri having to beat them twice. They lost the first one and are 0-0 in the bottom 7th in the second, mizzou at bat. I'm jealous of course but rooting for Omaha, OMAHA!
On a joyous side note, bling ewe eliminated.

The University of Nebraska, Omaha. Formerly UNO, now just called Omaha. Alma mater of the great Marlin Briscoe. They also have a very good hockey program.

Also half of the SEC was eliminated. Although they have a presence in six of the super regionals.

Maybe they can copy the OSAA "geniuses" and have two tourneys? You know the championship tourney then the "oprahfication" everyone gets an invite tourney.

I've been ruminating on the conferences re re re alignment and wondered if tsdtr hopes to get in the SEC someday?

I've been ruminating on the conferences re re re alignment and wondered if tsdtr hopes to get in the SEC someday? I think they, like many others, aren't waiting for another "realignment", but formation. There's no doubt in my mind this current phase is begin the transition to a super conference. There is no way anyone can make me believe that the top tier schools (in the B10, SEC specifically) want or will continue to share with the Rutgers, Vandys, etc. Eventually a "board" will be formed, like the current CFP board, and will negotiate with schools for a buy in and create a super league. A sponsor or co-sponsor will fund with a separate TV package on top of or combined with the current CFP deal. Now each conference has their own bylaws on how to dissolve. But, get enough teams to vote and you then have a bunch of teams that will be the same situation as OSU. But... to me a positive... EFF the super conference! Now there are plenty of teams to form their own organization, their own championship, etc. And, no single "super" conference has enough game inventory to fill all the channels & steaming avenues. And, there are plenty of quality athletes that want PT and an education. So... Oregon can go play with those arrogant arseholes and be a semi-pro league. OSU and the rest can play something closer to college athletics. Or... not??
