Interesting! Purdue needs someone like a Les Miles. They're in a tough Big Ten conference. How about Bob Griese?......Haha.
Who were the candidates for the vacancy at Oregon State when MR bolted?

Who were the candidates for the vacancy at Oregon State when MR bolted? Well, Brady Hoke for one. He has already submitted an application*. Get out ahead of the posse so it looks like you are leading the parade *total blowhard speculation founded in absolutely nothing

contingency plans in a year or two or three.
worst case scenarios.
jonathan smith as OC and maybe HC if the Beavs are 5-7 or worse in the 2018-2019 season.
got to be realistic while being optimistic. this beaver football debacle sure looks like the college version of the SF 49ers. young team. went from respectable to cellar dwellers quickly. questionable leadership. qb problems, ol problems, defensive problems...........injuries. a decent running game......the worst team in the NFL, maybe.......and the beavs are the worst team in the pac-12. 2 years running, too. i dunno.
i'm a fan of CGA up until his five years are up. after that we must analyze if CGA brought the beavs back to a Mike Riley good team (7-5/8-4 team). or a decent MR team (6-6/7-5). see how he recruits OLs and DLs.....compare him to MR's hauls...look at how many are projected NFLers....compare his work versus a Mike Leach Wazzu team or a MacIntyre CO team or a RichRod UA team. CO is a team with a ton of potential and support. Scary.
always good to think ahead.

And... unless "forced" GA would have to be the one to hire and "ok" it. Ya... GA bringing back a home town hero as OC when things are not going as he planned. Probably not...

Some people are saying, Bellotti has turned down the Purdue job without it being offered. I've heard people say that...very smart people, that's what they're saying. Who am I to question smart people?
<insert sarcasm>

Smart people also think this board needs to significantly increase references to GBPH.

Quite. As a point of fact, CGA has a six-year contract. I disagree with some things that he is doing, but I am a fan of CGA. I want him to succeed.
