Need Utah to win. I know OSU can still win PAC 12 with a sweep at Arizona but would be nice to not have to rely on that.

Utah fell apart in 5th after having 2 outs with nobody on, gave up 5.....5-2 Arizona heading to bottom of 5. Lame.

Plus, with the PAC 12 Tourney the next week OSU could play UA, UU, Oregon, etc again.

So the Utah AD says the o coach is in the position Meggs had in 2016. What could possibly go wrong?

I'd rather take the chance on having Utah lose 1 at USC than OSU having to sweep Arizona on the road.

The Beavers are in this position with poor stretches of play resulting in getting swept by Cal and losing two to USC. If they would have won just two of those five games, the scenario would be simple. Win the series at Arizona and they would be regular season champs. Could still do it but they made it harder to accomplish.

An Arizona win hurts Oregon State's current RPI. But assuming the three games get played next weekend, an Arizona win helps Oregon State's future RPI more than Utah's losses hurt Oregon State's current RPI.

From a Univ. of Arizona point of view, they wouldn't be in a position of having to beat the Beavers in even 1 game next weekend, if they hadn't lost series to ASU, UO and UW....but they did.

So hopefully the team that's 17-4 shows up and not the 0-5 version.

However it turns out, I'm just glad 0 won't get a banner to put up; at least for winning the conference 😊
