Important series for us to watch.
Utah won game 1 today, giving UA their 8th conference loss. Utes and Beavs both have 9 losses.
Any idea why they are playing the games so early in the day? Tomorrow is 10am but Sunday is 6pm? Weird timings as the Sunday games tend to be earlier for travel
EDIT:Guessing it's conflict with the minor league team that plays in the same stadium?

So, for people smarter than me: Is Utah winning / Arizona losing good...or bad...for The Beavers? I suppose it matters how UA - OSU goes next weekend.
I get it: Beavers winning means the most of all, but scoreboard watching is one of the pleasures of a college baseball fan

Unless something has changed there is no minor league team that uses Hi Corbett. City park and UA field since 2012. UA does all the upgrades and maintenance.

If Beavs sweep, then we want Utah to win only two. That way we will be 1/2 game behind UA going into the last series. Utah would be 1/2 behind us. It does not matter if we are 1/2 ahead or 1/2 behind UA then. A series win wins the conference.

Sunday's late start could have something to do with Mothers Day.

Sunday's late start could have something to do with Mothers Day. Sat Bees vs Sac 6:35p Sun Bees vs Dac 1:05p So early times Fri/Sat due to late MiLB games. Time for BP and field prep. Sun late due to Mom's Day start for the Bees

In your scenario Utah would have to lose one against sc for us to win the regular season.

It does not matter if we are 1/2 ahead or 1/2 behind UA then. A series win wins the conference. Only if Utah gets beat by sc once. If we end up tied in the loss column with Utah they win league due to our missed game at sc

The missed game at USC is looming big for OSU. Need to make sure they are tied in number of wins with whoever and not number of loses.

Swept by who? Your posting doesn't make any sense. I was simply stating how OSU will have one less conference game because of the missed game and that could be the difference between winning and losing PAC 12.

I was simply stating how OSU will have one less conference game because of the missed game and that could be the difference between winning and losing PAC 12. Made perfect sense to me. What if we lost that game...
