Doesn't he HAVE to keep his job after the awful passing number we've seen from the other 2 the last 2 weeks....assuming they get healthy?

We need a passer who can complete better than 50% of his passes. Actually, less than 60% is embarrassing, but I'll settle for 50% this year. The first two QBs haven't been able to do that.

Give it back to Collins. He can throw just as well as the others and has the skill to make things happen with his legs. who is he going to throw it to? He's also our best receiver....

I guess based on what we learned today he'll have until he gets hurt too

That said, I'm not 100% sure he'll be able to reach that low bar. Huskies are a pretty stout defense. Then again, what are our other options besides pulling Collins back to QB?

I'm trying to figure out why Moran is not in the mix or being discussed?
Arizona HS player of the year last year.... yes he is skinny but kids are coming out of HS more ready to play QB then ever before. Why are "We - collectively" so worried about him burning his red shirt year? DA burned his Red shirt year... if the kid is all that he isn't likely to complete his eligibility anyway.... no pressure kid.
Curious to hear what is going on... if he isn't running the scout team... why? So confused on why he isn't in the mix here.

He's not running the scout team because he's now running the 2nd team!
Despite some QBs finding success as freshmen, it still seems to be be a positive if you can give a guy that extra year to grow physically and to learn the system. Mannion played as a true freshman, but there were some early struggles.

Saw him play at Hillsboro scrimmage, he was clearly not ready to play in the PAC12, average freshman QB it appeared. I doubt he helps in any way this year so I can't see a legitimate reason to play him now, he'll be here for 4 more years unless he transfers. I don't see him playing three and going to the No Fun League unless there is a major turnaround and growth. We had better find a quality transfer QB next year and quick or this spiral will continue to head downhill.

It said loads about this kid's atleticism and potential for him to make all state as a QB in one year as a starting QB, but he likely does not have quite enough experience to jump in and lead a power 5 team year one.

Mannion played as a true freshman, but there were some early struggles. Mannion was a RSFR, came in as part of the 2010 class and redshirted that season. Collins played (and started) as a true frosh, Derek Anderson played as backup behind Smitty as a true frosh, and Tim Alexander played as a true frosh under Pettibone. And I guess Conor Blount had PT as a true frosh this year too, since we are counting them all up.
