I was looking through the 2024 Knights roster re: OSU Beavers *. Ethan is listed as LHP / OSU / Soph (to be). He is a freshman this season (out of Mt. Angel H.S.) at LBCC and is having a great season. 10 starts / 1 complete game / 59-1/3 IP / 95 K, 11 BB. ERA 0.91 / WHIP 0.71. Lefties are hard to come by. Hopefully he'll be on campus come late summer. *also currently listed on 2024 Knights (per Pointstreak) - Beavers: Ryan Vandenbrink, Paul Vazquez, Kellen Segal (also LBCC).

Isn't OSU commit Easton Corey from Pendleton also at LBCC?

Ethan Kleinschmit (@ethankleinschm5) October 10, 2023 Woodburn Independent
Former Kennedy baseball standout and the 2023 2A/1A player of the year Ethan Kleinschmit announced his verbal commitment to Oregon State University on Tuesday, Oct. 10, via his social media accounts.
"I'm super excited for this opportunity. Coming from a small town makes it even better because this usually doesn't happen, so I know I have the whole town supporting me," Kleinschmit said. "I hope I can be an inspiration to the younger kids in Mt. Angel to show that it is possible, you just have to work hard and continue to get better every day."
Kleinschmit's rise to to the highest level of collegiate baseball comes off a dominant senior campaign at Kennedy, where the southpaw went 16-0 with a 0.56 ERA while recording 178 strikeouts in 75 innings.
Kleinschmit will play one season for Linn-Benton Community College in Albany before he makes the transition to Corvallis. OSU initially reached out and connected with Kleinschmit earlier this year in January through a phone call. The two sides shared a couple more calls throughout the months, but it wasn't until this fall that Kleinschmit received an official offer, which came after Kleinschmit's performance in a scrimmage that OSU coaches attended.
The commitment is a childhood dream fulfilled for Kleinschmit.
"I chose Oregon State because it's a top Division I school and is close to home," Kleinschmit said. "I've also been a Beavers fan my whole life, so it has been a dream of mine to play for them."

78 innings, era 1.03, 16 walks and 120 K's. WHIP .70, batting average against .147 6ft-4 lefty with nasty arm slot. needs to add velo but he is young and has plenty of time for that. I think he is on the draft radar but not high enough to keep him out of corvallis.
