Sure, you're right, no difference could be made in a one score game - my mistake.

Couldn't agree more. I made similar comments but they were placed in the recruiting thread. Some of you are just plain lazy.

You go to a bad weather game and now know why all others are "lazy" and poor fans! Yet have trouble figuring out where to post appropriately! I'm sure all those who didn't show are listening to such a reasonable and wise man... LMAO

It's called home field advantage for a reason that is if YOU show up.

It's called home field advantage for a reason that is if YOU show up. It's home field advantage because the other team travels. Our fans had zero to do with this loss. Can fans make it difficult for opposing teams? Sure. But, there were not a lot of audibles or key passing downs in ways noise would have made any difference today. A rant vs fans on a day where play calls and QB play were terrible seems a bit over the top.

I don't doubt that more fans making more noise can help the home team. But, to be fair, this wasn't just fans trying to avoid getting a little wet. When some forecasters are throwing out comparisons to the Columbus day storm, there's an active wind warning, there are predictions of downed trees and power lines....well, it's not just a normal fall football Saturday.

Just wondering was weather the excuse against Cal, Boise State, and Idaho state. I thought the point being raised in this thread was about the 20K who supposedly attended today's game against Utah. The dire predictions of dangerous weather most certainly played a big part in fans staying home. As for the earlier games, I can't say for sure. The crowd at the Cal game was smallish but was certainly more than 20K and certainly got vocal. There is no reason to think that today's crowd wouldn't have been bigger given the 1PM start time, the win over Cal, and the hope for another win -- if the weather predictions hadn't been for a very strong storm. Whether or not the storm ended up being that bad (55,000 people did lose power so it wasn't just a normal fall day) is irrelevant when trying to deduce why some fans decided to not make the trip.

I wish I could afford to go to a game...I would be there in a heartbeat....perhaps someday. I have to listen to it while at work. But I cheer, wear my gear, and believe every freaking game will be a win.

They will be plentiful for Washington State because supposedly some people can't stay up that late.
