…… I wouldn’t have the SLIGHTEST idea who’s in/out, unless I saw a blurb about it. I haven’t cared for ahelluva lot of years…. but now, it’s not even on my radar.

Same, and I used to watch a lot of NBA. I didn’t even know they’d started doing a play in tournament for the playoffs until a couple days ago.

It's not as if the NBA has EVER had "too few" teams in the playoffs. From the in-season tournaments to the "play in" playoff games, to the "division-less" playoff seeding. All seem like a lot of bad ideas to attempt to drum up some kind of interest? I was never a huge NBA fan, but for decades I followed it closely enough to at least know who all of the top stars were, who the top teams were, and who was winning in the playoffs. It feels like the NBA has kind of fallen into irrelevance for the casual fan (me). I'm sure it would be worse if I lived in a City that didn't have an NBA team.

Bring back the Sonics! That’s the last time I followed NBA. The Blazer-Sonic rivalry was so much fun.

I remember when I gave a crap about the NBA playoffs.......it's been some time. I won't even bother to watch a minute of it anymore

I remember when I gave a crap about the NBA playoffs.......it's been some time. I won't even bother to watch a minute of it anymore It’s been a few years, but every time I think, oh I should watch a game, I quickly lose interest. The changes they’ve made to “make the game more exciting” have made the game worse in my opinion. I don’t even know what’s considered a travel any more. And, half the plays seem to be one guy over dribbling and then putting up a bad shot trying to draw a foul. Often getting a foul while he’s creating most of the contact and then flopping half way across the court.

At the highest level it's become more about dumbing it down for the lowest common denominator fans......more offense, excitement. For some of us, it's had the opposite effect.
