No he didn't. He averaged 13 & 6 last year. My mistake. Yes, your #s were from the prior season on a 24 win team, 8 min/g. On the 10 win team this season he played over 27 min/g. At least he contributed. Much better than most of the recent transfers.

The key question is can he pass standing beyond the free throw line where for some strange reason KC and Chol would end up with the way too often this year. Not always a lot to like about Tinkle’s offense, but that is right up there for things I hate about it most.

Not always a lot to like about Tinkle’s offense, but that is right up there for things I hate about it most. That thought crossed my mind as well as I watched a highlight video of mostly interior, in the paint, bounce passes. Didn't see a lot of passes out to the perimeter either, but that could have all sorts of reasons. But since I am challenged understanding the Tinkle offensive concept, I didn't make comment. Still trying to decide if he likes to use the rim as protection against shot blockers or his vertical is not spectacular, since I did see a good dunk in the closing seconds of the highlights. A good get regardless. Go Beavers!

Just from the short videos of him I watched and his relatively low block totals, I have a feeling he’s not too explosive around the rim. He does appear to have pretty good footwork (reminds me a little of Roman Silva in that regard) and some post moves. If he can give us healthy Silva offensive numbers, I’d be very happy. He missed 5 or 6 games last year and redshirted his first year (though that might have been for developmental reasons), so hopefully health isn’t an issue. Seems a bit more mobile than Silva was, which seems to make him a bit better rebounder.
The use of centers so far out drove me nuts last year. Neither Chol or KC were a threat to drive or make any really effective pass from there. I did see at least one highlight of Fallah taking it to hoop off the bounce. That and the ability to pass have me hopeful he won’t stop the offense like our center last year when they got the ball out there.
Not a sexy pick up, but if he can cure his turnover issues (3 or more in 15 of 25 games last year), could be an effective player for Beavers. And frankly, these are the type of guys Tinkle needs to get. Hopefully with some wins, the portal options will get better. But for now it is what it is.
