90 mph change ups anyone?
Last week 3 college pitchers recorded 101 mph fastball velocity and 3 more recorded 100 mph. If the desired velo differential on an effective change of pace is 10-11 mph, wouldn't that result in a 90-91 change up?
Here is the honor roll (Velo and number of recordings)
101 Chase Burns RHP Wake Forest 1
101 Greysen Carter RHP Vanderbilt 3
101 Pierce George RHP Alabama 3
100 Brody Brecht RHP Iowa 1
100 James Ellwanger RHP Dallas Baptist 1
100 Mason Bixby RHP TCU 9
100 Nate Snead RHP Tennessee 1
*** "The just missed Club" - Six more guys threw 99 mph
"Coach . . . my elbow feels tight, what's up with that?"
