yup. He still might be. He is a baby. Well, he’ll have a young arm at this rate. Only threw 9 pitches. I think we can lay off the frost playing his 3rd game. He has stuff and can locate when on. Lots of potential. Hjerpe has a 5.25 ERA as a frosh, he seemed alright. Plenty of great pitchers don't come in ready to dominate.

Well, he’ll have a young arm at this rate. He doesn’t have anything that can throw for a strike other than a FB. Even at 95, players can hit that and if you get the barrel on it, it’s going to go a long ways. He better develop a secondary pitch in a hurry. In an interview he said he had a FB, change and slider but his location needs to be much tighter next year.

Morrell strands the runner on third.
One out in the bottom of the ninth.
Macias to the plate.

Just throwing only fastballs isn’t great at this level.

The posts are centered on that not Palmer himself. And, no one spoke about ERA. Herpe had an arsenal from day 1 despite his earned runs.

Believe me, I want him to excel and be as successful as possible.

This guy's definitely the best we can hope for. 23 hits and even freebies to strikeouts.

Rough loss but they all are. Series win is what I'll remember.

Series win but with a down year for Stanford should have swept. 4 unearned runs is not sustainable for run to Omaha.

Series win but with a down year for Stanford should have swept. 4 unearned runs is not sustainable for run to Omaha. Would have loved a sweep, but sweeps are tough. Just gotta continue to win series and the rest will take care of itself. Stanford is down, but they are still Stanford with big time baseball recruits. Easy to nitpick and second guess things after a loss, but reality is we are 29-5, top five in the country, first place in the pac 12, and coming off 8 straight wins. Let’s learn from this loss, put it behind us, and regroup for a big five game week and tough road series against Cal.

Laif will be fine. The arm talent is there. That’s why the Orioles drafted him out of high school. But he is a true freshman and has only thrown three innings at the D1 level. He isn’t a HOF, but who is after three innings in their true freshman season? Let’s cut him a little slack and give him time to develop in our system and under our coaching staff.

Two games for all the arms from the pen to fix whatever problems they have before the return to conference play.
