Seems odd but from what I’ve been reading on here SR hasn’t been recruiting any HS girls for this next year. Anyone know anything to the contrary?

We are not the best resource for what Rueck is or isn't doing. Also, up until a couple weeks ago there were 13 players on the roster, not much room for incoming freshmen

I marveled at the fact that several of the very successful teams we faced in the tournament only went 7-8 deep....
So it might be a year where we don't have a super long bench, and/or everyone on the bench is logging 25+ minutes.
Will be interesting to see what our portal, juco, and (per the OP) HS recruiting strategy will be.
Assuming the rash of departures has abated, we can start to ponder this more.
Starting state roster appears to be 2 guards (AJ, KS) and 3 forwards (I didn't realize Yepes is listed as a forward), though I would consider Sela more a traditional post a'la Ruth Hamblin.
Does Rueck go for quality or quantity this year? Will be interesting to watch.

That at the wac level will be hard to do. Plus if he finds this and developes these players then these kids want to move on to greener pastures? He will ultimately do what these girls did need to move up to a higher league. Maybe even this year! He is a proven D-1 coach and recruiter. In reality Rueck should be a hot commodity right now. At any level! |

Rueck had a ton of 2024 kids on campus (Prince, Olson, Edwards, Blakes, Fiso, Howell, Gibb).
I think between two poor years (not making the tournament) and conference uncertainty there wasn’t much serious interest.
