Had you told me that May would only have two wins before Tax Day, I would have thought that things would be going more poorly. They have been weirdly. This team is just stacked. Can't think of many seasons where we have like 3 BP guys and a starter out on pitching by week 3 and 3 of our bats are out half the season and we're just fine more or less. That and the loss of potentially our best mid reliever in Jimenez and a probably starter with Decreamer. Hell 3 of our top inning pitchers came into the season still recovering (Kmatz, Hunter and Mundt) Great observations. I think as good as we are this team is gonna peak at the right time around May with everyone back in the lineup and arms that just came back get some more innings under their belt. As good as we are now this teams gonna be extra scary come playoff time in my opinion.

We don’t exactly have alot of corner options.. Maybe move Tyce to 1B but I still I still feel Krieg is the best option right now until Caraway is back. Guerra at 1B, Hainline at 3B and Trosky at SS... Whens the last time we saw Trosky? He isnt hurt is he?

Coming in, thrrew 95 plus. But who knows now? We will see next year. Mundt has exceeded expectations this year without a doubt. Been very reliable.

Cutting down on the number of strikeouts would be beneficial but is wishful thinking for Beaver fans. Our guys are up there to slug and frequent K's come with that territory. The current lineup is not made up of contact hitters as the current home run total tells us. On the other hand, something that is possible to wish for is the reduction of backward K's, especially with runners in scoring position or as happens with us too often, with the bases loaded. Dying in the box with the bat on your shoulder and runners on is ugly.
Some "goes with the territory" numbers for 3 of our bangers.
Turley's two year totals = He strikes out in 35% of his official at bats. Kasper's 4 year totals to date = a 44% strikeout rate in his official at bats. Krieg's two year totals = a 45% strike out rate.
Those numbers predict a high probability of a pending K when those guys step in the box. The tradeoff of course is the HR power.

I think thats the lowest stress furd game I have ever observed. Most lopsided win over Stanford, since the 9-1 win over the Cardinal May 29, 2021. That was the regular season finale, though. The Regionals were announced the next day, which might have overshadowed the game. Plus, the game was at Sunken Diamond. It is the most lopsided win over Stanford in Corvallis since the 10-0 win over the Cardinal on May 12, 2018, the Saturday game. It is Oregon State's first shutout win in the first game of a series since April 13, 2006.

I think thats the lowest stress furd game I have ever observed. They aren’t very good. In the past century Oregon State has only played one Stanford team with a losing record (2015), and that was one of the two times that the Beavs swept the Cardinals in the past decade (2017 being the other time).

It was really nice to see a great pitching and defensive performance. And we took advantage of free passes. One of the best executed games of the season so far

Bazzana is obviously an offensive weapon. But he better let the outfielders (in this game Reeder and turley) catch the fly balls because sooner or later he is not going to be able to make the catch and he will just be in the way.
