Kind of a dumb metaphor honestly. And who says "I'm a relationship builder". And then states "I prefer to be called Lock.".....nicknames are earned. It's like Costanza trying to claim T-bone.

Well, he's in a location where they are willing to can their coach with a tremendous winning record. So he can build all the relationships he wants but at the end of the day, if he's not getting excellent results, he'll be tossed out on his soft cookies.
