Rueck must be in shock what has transpired the last few weeks. Probably the reason he was seen walking around in North Corvallis. Had to try to unwind and process all of the things that happened. I think the players already had a decision made before the end of the season. I think so because of how quickly things went down after the loss. TVO didn't wait very long to announce her intentions. I saw Hunter said the uncertainty of going to the WCC had a thing to do with her decision to transfer. What uncertainty? That will be the home for two years. I don't believe players leaving has anything to do with the style of play by Rueck. I think, unlike some posters, the style of play had nothing to do with the transfers. I think it had everything to do with going to the WCC. Which, I think, is a slightly short sighted. Maybe the carnage is over after today. Rueck, and the assistants will be busy bringing players from the portal or high school. I have read Rueck being mentioned as a candidate for other positions. I think that one thing that could be a negative for him is the two years where Rueck had a lot of players leave the program. Not saying it is a big negative but it doesn't look good to other schools when things like that happens. Questions pop up about what is happening. Whether deserved or not.

Clarification on the WCC. I think the options were very few and the WCC probably was the only option. I don't think the MWC wanted us for anything other than football

I doubt there are many quality HS players left who don't already know where they are headed next season.
He will have to fill out the roster through the portal.

Rueck has handled this situation before, when he was hired after LaVonda Wagner melted down our WBB program to four players and Rueck had to have tryouts before his first season began. If he stays, my money is that he will turn it around again.
Tinkle on the other hand...
