The problem with hoping to get former Pac12 teams on bye weekends... not many really help your schedule/RPI! At, least not for nest season. They are better than most of our current NC schedule, but just those teams will not help much. OSU will have to greatly upgrade Surprise and hope for at least (2) weekends of teams similar to Texas this season. OSU might have to just stay on the road from Surprise for a couple more weeks to get in 6-8 higher quality games, even if that means heading into SEC/B12 road series...

Pat Hill coached football at Fresno State but he had a motto and it would be a nice fit for OSU's ELITE baseball program in terms of scheduling.
"Any body . . any time . . any place"

RPI importance in Tourney is a HUGE help here.... 1-2 on the road is 1.3 wins, 1.4 losses...2-1 at home is just 1.4 wins, 1.3 losses....it doesn't hurt to go on the road at all, especially against a team as good as OSU - that's a huge help in scheduling (especially for hole, UW, UCLA and USC who are going to historically not top RPI conference)
