This is good news. I hope that the players take this into consideration while making their decisions about their future. Started out out picked to finish 10th in the Pac and finish #8 in the nation. Well done ladies! Go Beavs!!

That's actually a ridiculous ranking. Teams 5-8 all lost in the Elite Eight. We lost to the now two-time defending national champions, and somehow got ranked behind the three that lost to inferior teams?

We leap frogged multiple teams in our own league that were "better" than OSU. Who ranked above OSU would you drop to move OSU up?

Final 2024 NCAAW Rankings. www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/rankingsFrom preseason 10th in Pac-12 to postseason 8th in the nation. Amazing, memorable season. 1. S Carolina 2. Iowa 3. UConn 4. NCSU 5. USC 6. LSU 7. Texas 8. OSU 9. Stanford 10. UCLA 11. Notre Dame 12. Indiana 13. Baylor 14. Gonzaga 15. Colorado 16. Ohio State (Ranking us ahead of a team who beat us 3 times is a little flattering).

If your contention hangs on, “our loss wasn’t as bad as theirs”, that’s not a very compelling argument.

LSU lost to the two time runner up in Iowa and was ranked in front of us all year, deservedly so. USC beat us twice this years, so there’s that. Maybe in front of Texas? But they were highly ranked all year as well and also for a good reason. We are right where we should have been, just enjoy it 😄
