May want to go to the Big Ten after the thumping they got from the Beavs today. Their record of one series win in the past ten years don't look good either!!!!!!!!

The state of Washington produces some outstanding high school prospects but that's a problem for the Huskies . . . all the really good ones are down here.

May want to go to the Big Ten after the thumping they got from the Beavs today. Their record of one series win in the past ten years don't look good either!!!!!!!! Oregon State has won 10 consecutive series against Washington. 27-6 over the past 33. That includes the final game in 2013, a nonconference game against Washington in Surprise, the losers' bracket game in the 2018 College World Series, and the 2022 Pac-12 Tournament opener. Washington won one game in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2023. Washington won the series in Seattle in 2007, 2009, and 2013. Those are Washington's only series wins since 2004, which is the last time that the Huskies won in Corvallis. 42-17 over the past 20 seasons.

Several of the UW parents I talked to were amazed the fans keep referencing the 2016 snub. Doesn't mean a thing to any of the players on either side anymore but much of our fan base hasn't forgotten and still wants us to stick it to the Huskies every chance we get.
It didn't sound to me as if Meigs was a favorite with the UW fans, either.

If not for 2016, then let it be for 2023 and their attempts to wrest control of the conference back to the Traitorous Ten. Two sides of the same coin. They only think of themselves.

They, like all other non-football sports at these departing schools, are being punished by these ridiculous moves. That's really how it boils down in the end.

They are not impressed with the dissolution of the Pac 12. Apparently everyone likes Kelly a lot, not so much Meggs. I made sure i brought up the snub! Haha

We should be able to sell recruits on being able to play a schedule that is largely regional. We get a ton of kids from Washington. It makes sense to keep boning the Dawgs to show recruits who runs the PNW in baseball.

Let’s be honest we will more than likely be playing a pretty national schedule next year with limited home games. I seriously doubt any of the PAC12 teams moving to different conferences will want to play us as an independent. And they are definitely not going to play us at Goss.

Maybe, but for travel savings.....maybe they will want to play us? Doesn't hurt their RPI either.

We will expand tourney season but getting teams to come to Corvallis to try to steal an RPI boost shouldn't be hard. It's even better for the former P12 since it won't affect conference results a lick.

It's even better for the former P12 since it won't affect conference results a lick. With ex-PAC12 schools moving into higher RPI conferences I doubt anyone will want to come to Corvallis for a non-conference series. Cal/Stanford moving to ACC. Oregon/UW/USC/UCLA to BIG10. ASU/UA moving to BIG12. They could easily just sit there and say come to us. Not saying some won’t want to come to Corvallis but I would have to think we are on the road a good amount next year. Especially if we want to build a good enough schedule to host.

Uhhh...BIG10 hasn't hosted since Minnesota got a bid in 2018. BIG12 is losing Oklahoma and Texas which are traditionally some of.thwie best teams. ACC will probably be down FSU, Clemson and a bunch of other dominos in the next 2-3 years.
I think the only thing you can rely on is the SEC will be dominant and OSU will be the premium independent baseball program.
