Trojans just playing like garbage down the stretch. Totally discombobulated on offense. Is this a Gottlieb coached team? Yep. Gonna turn into a blow out now.

UConn is an extremely disciplined team. Have to be with such a short bench.

UConn bricking a bunch of FTs, but USC can't take advantage of it.

Southern Cal was pretty much playing 2-on-5 on the offensive end with the occasional layup from Marshall. I guess the same could be said of UConn but their offense had a much better flow to it.
Next step for Watkins is becoming less of a volume scorer and more of an efficient scorer. She had a very memorable freshman campaign. Gottlieb is surrounding her with some really good pieces next season, but they’ll be young.

Padilla had a brutal game. 1-9 overall and 1-7 from 3.

Pulling HARD for NC State and Iowa, because I don't want the other 2 teams to win.

All that talent on that team and usc couldn't beat 7 tired players from Uconn.

In the end, OSU had the best showing in the tourney of any of the Pac-12 teams. It makes me appreciate Rueck’s approach of being focused on a style that can beat the best teams. UCLA always underachieves as their style is not an approach that can beat the best without the best players. It explains why USC’s inefficiency didn’t beat a good but less athletic and smarter team. Why Stanford’s lack of effective guard players (this year) would enable a much smaller team to run them out of the gym. Why CU struggled to beat good teams because they can’t get volume steals against good teams.
Pac-12 went out with whimper. Wouldn’t be surprised to see OSU repeat the best showing among those teams again next year.

I got in a fairly big argument with other posters about the conference's performance in the Tourney a few days ago. Quite disappointing in my eyes. Nobody is going to change my mind about that.

Four of the teams that eliminated the top 5 Pac-12 teams went to the final 4. South Carolina (OSU); UConn (USC). NC State (Stanford). Iowa (Colorado). UCLA was eliminated by LSU, the 2023 national runner-up. Our teams lost to great teams. We're gonna disagree, no big deal.

Dissed (pretty sure some were this same poster??) on at Cal, when she was hired at SC, last year into this, then all quiet as they got better and better. Then wait until they lose, in the E8. Of course to one, if not the best coach in wbb history, with arguably one of the top 5 best, experienced individual players despite just returning from injury. And, Edwards a tremendous big surrounded by 5* recruits that are tenacious defenders. I had to look up how crappy Coach Gottleib is: '08-11 UCSB 56-39/36-12 1 NCAA 1 NIT in 3 yrs '11-'19 Cal 179-89/86-58 7 NCAA’s in 8 yrs 1 F4 '21-24 USC 62-32/29-24 2 NCAA’s in 3 yrs -50 wins in yrs 2/3 after taking over a program falling apart. 294-160 (.648) in 14 seasons with 10 NCAA’s What a piece of crap! PS- Coach Rueck 297-154 (.659) in 14 seasons with 8 NCAA’s
