Man, this America’s Team sure was prophetic - the team is going to spread out across all of America! It served their purpose to get national attention on them. Got their name and OSU's plight out there. Can't buy that kind of advertising.

Until the players provide candid and believable explanations about WHY they are leaving, outsiders like us will remain in the dark. Don’t hold your breath on that one. The code of “omertà” around the program in this regard makes me wonder if players signed a NDL. Some candor would be a breath of fresh air.

They were and are an accurate reflection of modern America. Hyper-individualism over team and community. this is true and truly sad. It all started with participation ribbons...

I dont blame adlee or Martha as it appears they are leaving for playing time. The others Who? Never heard of them.

Of course Adlee and Martha could have stayed and likely had as much playing time as they wanted so there's that too.

The Athletic posted a story about top 15 transfers... Beers #1, Talia and Timea in top 10.

Nah, now that we've bottomed out this team is going a better place and we have bunch of scholarships going with us. Predication, by end of May OSU WBB will be totally rebuilt and ready to go. Wow, funny stuff there, not a chance in hell!!

On a positive note—- if Beers hasn’t said anything yet and she stays, I’ll wear my Beavs Beers and Buckets shirt to every game next year!!! Looks like you can burn it now, along with the OSU WBB program..

TVO was ranked No. 25 nationally in her class. Hunter was a four star and is now going to be highly sought after as a PG. Not sure she was a problem on offense when she did shoot. SR chose to play Marotte as much as he did (although he did cut it down later in the season). He chose not to play Adlee all that much. Lily is a 3-point shooter and she did very well in that role. Maybe not having much of a game plan to speak of (or at least an inability to get the players to execute one) other than pounding the ball inside to Beers was a problem. Hunter - 41.6%, von Oelhoffen - 38.7%, Marotte - 36.7%, Blacklock - 37.6%. Aside from Lily and Dom who were efficient on the wings - our guards were pretty inefficient this season. Compare that to Pivec, Slocum, Weisner, Goodman, Wiese, etc. Aside from Talia, none of our guards were highly recruited or ranked. Lily, Adlee, and Dom weren't even top-100 recruits. IMO, our talent on the perimeter simply didn't match up to UConn or South Carolina's. So, you're saying that the replacements we may get from the portal, if we get any at all, many of whom we would not have offered scholarships, will be BETTER than the ones that are deserting OSU, got it!! Whatever lays behind the mass exodus will be well known by those in the portal, if it's the WCC, we are screwed for the foreseeable future. If it's something else. we are screwed until that issue is removed, I doubt it's SR, but??

I guess in the coming year I am looking forward to the articles that invariably get published about the new arrivals in the programs that they land in.....like what we learned about the Arkansas transfers, the Texas transfer, the Australia returnees, the Duke transfers, the Georgia Tech transfer...... These young ladies have every right to live their lives, and leverage their talents as they see fit, but I do admit to being curious about the seeming bomb that went off in Albany (NY), or shortly thereafter. And I am curious to see what these young ladies chose to value over what is here. Now, as to what is here, I have a very fifth or sixth or tenth hand view of things, and I suspect these ladies will be smart enough not to comment on whatever "dead moose on the table" there might be in our program (IF there is any). But they will make some of their reasoning visible, and I will admit I am curious. I've conducted workplace exit interviews, and the feedback you get is usually "edited for TV audiences" so you have to infer, read between the lines, and decide how valid the comments you get are, but you also learn more as time goes by, and by watching their LinkedIn profiles - same thing I suspect here.
Go Beavers!
