Taya was a very important part of our team for years, and I certainly didn't begrudge her finishing up at Duke. But mentioning her made me think of her skill set compared to Timea's, and Timea is better by a wide margin. Not putting Taya down; just illustrating what a special player Timea is at the 4 spot.

Agree on Heal. 6-time WCC Player of the Week winner this season. Beavers bottled her up pretty well, earlier this year, but she is an excellent scorer. Suspect that there will be some interest from Colorado.

In all seriousness, I don’t understand the saltiness about Brown. We have two forwards who are considerably more talented and IMO significantly better players. Jones is a different story. In the case of Kennedy Brown, I think her transfer worked out beautifully for both Duke and OSU. Taya C had given OSU 5 years. We had no right whatsoever to expect/demand a 6th. She's still one of my favorite Beavs ever. Greta K and Savannah S aren't missed and I wish them both the best. Sasha's situation was unique and I don't think anyone begrudges her desire to move back closer to her family support system. Health issues ultimately truncated her career and I hope for her to return to full health - to be young and have to face such a serious health challenge is heartrending. As far as Taylor - I think the injuries wore her down too and seems to be thriving back on her home turf - good for her. The development of this 2023-24 team has been astonishing and so enjoyable as a fan. I'm not ready for this season to end just yet. Not ready for this year to end either. Seems like it just began. I sure hope the core group sticks around 2 more years. Not only are they fun to watch, they are just great people. Perhaps the best group we've seen in Corvallis, and we've had some amazing women play for this team.

I am very familiar with the MAAC. Fairfield was the best team by far, won 31 straight games and then got blown out by 30 in the first round. Siena is no Fairfield. She might be a good player, but it's a huge step up to the Big Ten from the MAAC.

Jersey Wolfenbarger to LSU. I guess it's just not me. I don't get the draw of a program like LSU. This illastrates how this portal system works. It can happen fast and a player just is grabbed instantly. This is my concern with our reponse to these things. If we arent aggressive we most likely lose. these elite teams are bottom feeders. I think we need to be also. Making quick offers if possible

I think Rueck won't make the same mistakes Tinkle made with portal players. Just because a player has ability doesn't necessarily make them a positive addition.

WTF are you talking about? An interview that Kennedy Brown gave to a Durham newspaper about the success she is having at Duke this year. It was rather enlightening that playing at Duke this year is better because she broke out of the bad habits she got at her previous school. I beg ro differ with her on two things inthst statement. She has never become a better scorer where ever she went. Thats not our fault. She also had good defensive skill whereever she has gone including with us. My only beef with any posts defensive play with beavers is they are not taught to front there offensive player. Thats my only beef with our low posts. In beers case she can just use leversge anyways. But brown being six six and mobile should be able to stand with a hand in front of the plsyer also to make the pass into the post harder.

The problem with Brown here at OSU was her inability to make lay-ups and in one pre-season tournament the inability to make free throws under pressure. In one game she missed like 5 threes. The announcer said maybe she should rethink the 3 point shooting. I lol'd.

Weird... so current players who've also missed numerous gimmees, pressure free throws, and recently 5+ threes in a game are excluded? I don't get how people can judge a former player when they have zero idea key factors. Just the the new system, their required role, and teammates with differing skill sets than their former team makes it ridiculous. Actually quite petty. Transfers leave for whatever reason. There was no guarantee of success here why would there be upon transfer? Plus, some here think the only reason is hoop related. Funny the hypocrisy. Transfers in did the exact same thing. But, since it to OSU somehow it ok. Seems some 18-22 y/o players are more mature than some here.

remember all of the interviews in which this article was derived, was from the press conference this am. You can never been secure in this day and age, but the question and answer session was a bit milder than the article, and it was obvious the writer had the article in mind with their questions.

The title certainly is designed to get clicks. I feel like this team has had enough talk about it - and they continue to express how tight they are and that geesh - Elite eight!! As many said above - I'm still loving this team, right now. Let's enjoy the moment.
GO BEAVS!

I think this suggesting article had no place in a discussion till after the season. That article was timing wise not appropriate right now with this team in a very critical mind set situation. Smells like something the ducks would suggest!
