Here’s a wild one: SR is leaving and taking the best of the team with him? Loyalty to a coach vs loyalty to a school. Nahh. Who but teams that have huge booster $$$ and organizations could entice him. Speculations are rampant and clueless. But fun. We never thought it could happen with Jonathan Smith.... Speak for yourself. I always figured JS would ultimately move to a higher level HC opportunity. Just like EVERY successful OSU FB HC has done historically. I’m only surprised that people are surprised.

Just like EVERY successful OSU FB HC has done historically. I’m only surprised that people are surprised. Sure.....but he did us dirty. He's not a true Beaver. He simply used us to further his career. We've already beat this dead horse so I won't go on a long rant.....dude torpedoed the last CW, and tried to completely dismantle our program......some say it's just the business. To me it's a bit more personal, and I will never forgive him for HOW he did it.

Interesting. I didn't think the NIL did have anything to do with it in her case, though. I think her decision to leave definitely has other factors written all over it and most likely will lead to joining her boyfriend or going to a grad school of her choice. Or both. She is a high profile athlete at our University. She has to understand that Beaver Nation is going to be upset..... especially how she has presented herself as all in, in the past. The "current circumstances" part of her social media exit post leaves me to believe she is bailing because of the Pac 12 dissolving. If she's leaving for other reasons, she should specify she's not leaving because of Pac 12 dissolution, imo.

She could have transferred for her grad year well before the portal existed. I hold less ill will towards her because of that. The thing that pisses people off are the things she said before and during the season that seem to imply she wouldn't leave. She kind of invited the backlash now that she is leaving.

I could definitely see her ending up at UCLA or USC. She heavily considered UCLA in HS and she could probably fill Osborne’s role. Could see USC too with Forbes and Padilla leaving.

At least Oregon is having an exodus too:
Graves was second among coaches players wouldn’t want to play for in the Athletics poll.

All 3 are good players - - 2 are VERY good....
I can't imagine how Oregon can field a competitive team next year..... We might get a chance to observe first-hand if NIL $ can buy a roster..... They got the money, the motivation, and the need to bring in really good players in a very short period of time.
Right now I'm both disillusioned and angry with college athletics. If the Ducks hire a name/recognition roster I think I'm thru. GO BEAVS!!

Thanks for the feedback. However, I don’t think lack of information is ignorance. If you have the facts then share what yoy know. I would be interested! Dude/Dudette... you've been on this board since 2020. They're had maybe been 100+ pages on Pac12/Pac2 issues, court cases, opinions, and any other BS imaginable. Do you read... here, the web? Listen/watch TV/radio? Or just come on for posts #136-138 to make ignorant & ridiculous blame game statements? I found this interesting article that has helped me better understand the situation: www.latimes.com/sports/story/2023-08-16/pac-12-collapse-decisions-realignment-ucla-oregonThanks for encouraging me to learn to read and use the internet. It has changed my life!

Van Slooten is from Toledo. The move to the Big Ten would actually bring her closer to home and enable her family to see her play more often.
There are big problems at Oregon women's basketball. It actually would not surprise me to see her end up at Gonzaga and play in a league many of our athletes seem to believe is beneath them for a team that has consistently illustrated you can be nationally relevant despite not being in a P5 conference.

Canzano reporting that he has been told that another 3 to 6 OSU wbb players are weighing their options How much do their options weigh? Depends on how much cash is in the sack. Saw some guy on Eggers' twitter say TVO is a "$750,000 player." In what universe? Not this one.
