Rueck has never lived outside of the state of Oregon. Going to someplace like Tennessee would be a major move, that I doubt he would make. Then again coaching at a historical blueblood in the SEC on paper is a better job than coaching a team in the WCC.

I wouldn't be surprised to see SR leave. Lots of exposure in the E8 and lots of P5 teams would love to have him... Smith left..Why not Rueck... Goodwill stores are still bare, Fingers crossed. So TVO, plus perhaps other high level starters go??....and then perhaps the Coach? All that in front of a backdrop of exactly ZERO incoming recruits (as of now) next year??...and a two-year alignment with a weak conference?? Hmmmm...

Interesting. I didn't think the NIL did have anything to do with it in her case, though. I think her decision to leave definitely has other factors written all over it and most likely will lead to joining her boyfriend or going to a grad school of her choice. Or both.

There is only a handful of teams that can offer as good of a chance for a final four. Maybe she wants a grad degree from a certain school? It's really coming to get your grad degree from a school different than your undergrad degree. Maybe it is nil or drop in conference level? She came out and said it is not about NIL. I wish her the best and it's time to move on.

Rueck rebuilt when he got here, he'll do it again. With players who want to be here.
Except for TVO, who did her four years and will graduate, anyone else who leaves is dead to me. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree because IDGAF. Division I athletics is broken.

You and others here pay far more attention to tweets etc. Isn't this current tweet, decision pretty much in direct opposition to everything she's said the last 13, 14 months+?? If course circumstances change but she really portrayed a player never leaving... Wherever she ends up, let the NIL exaggerations begin!? That was my thought as well. After having time to think about it, I very seriously doubt there's any dissatisfaction with anything or anybody here involved at all. She was able to graduate from high school in 3 1/2 years, and so she moved on. She was able to graduate from Oregon State in 3 1/2 years, so perhaps she simply feels it's time to move on. She played here for the better part of 4 seasons, such as they were, and that's enough. Aleah could have come back for another year, but opted not to. Same with Taya. We have to remember that these are young people, always looking for the next big thing in their lives. For Aleah, starting down the road to a coaching career. For Taya, a Master's degree from Duke. For Talia, ? We'll see in time.

I hate to see Talia go. I don't believe she has reached her potential yet. If she gets her shooting back, she will have a monster year next season somewhere. This is the world we live in now. Hey, I hated it when free agency came to baseball. It's hard to enjoy a team/sport that may have half the team leave every year.
If more players transfer, I hope they do it quickly. Get it over with in the next couple days and let's move on. I hate long drawn out bad news. I'd rather get all the bad news at once. It will hurt less than speculating and chewing on my fingernails for the next couple months.
This year may have been the most enjoyable ever. Hard to believe it may be crashing.

Someone wrote on one of the posts that AJ was gone too but I never saw a response to that. Was that just speculation or an attempt at a joke?

My concern is way more focused on the reports that more are coming. And no other player on the roster has a similar situation to TVO's.

She made it very clear she was staying when the topic was brought up. "The grass is always greener where you're watering it" I thought was one of her comments. Plus the article I read a few of the players talked about how they thought everyone would stay. Why on would they say that if they thought the team leader was bailing? It's her right to do whatever is best for her. But she in no way led anyone to believe she wasn't going to stay anytime the topic was brought up. That's my main issue w/ her leaving. Why does it matter what conference it is if you had an ELITE EIGHT team all returning to be one year better and more experienced? Answer me that We don't have enough water....simple Are we/OSU still "America's Team"? Or her new team?

Her boyfriend is transferring to USC, one of the players Bray said was bought by the Trojans. She'll end up there, caddying for Watkins.
She played her four, got her degree. Good on her.

I still don't get bailing on a team THIS GOOD and a chance to get to the final four. Why does it matter that they're in an easier conference? How does that keep you from getting to the final four w/ everyone returning? Posting before reading the rest of the thread... had to see Dune Part 2 finally. First... what team does she think she can transfer to that... - she'll have an such an integral role; - the team will be as good; - that school, team, coach chemistry is known and as developed; Second, she's just not a "national brand" big time NIL player. The large NIL deals are corporate not school affiliated organizations. She's not Dunne, Clark, Reese, Bueckers, etc. So that's not a reason. But, good luck. As I've stated before, as a fan I root for OSU players, the ones (recruits, current players) that want to be here. I really don't care what transfers out do or the why. I don't wish them ill, and don't like them disparaged... but don't give them a second thought. I will say her leaving didn't bother me... her words do. Doing a 180 on the dedicated thing then stating she left it better than she found it.
