Was thinking #2 seems high, but then I looked at the rest of the top 25. And obviously LSU losing to Miss St.

Was thinking #2 seems high, but then I looked at the rest of the top 25. And obviously LSU losing to Miss St. Ya, we will see how things play out. I think at full health, or at least close to it, a number 2 ranking is well deserved for this team. At full strength, we are a legitimate title contender. But right now, we are down May, Lattery, Caraway, Scott, Kasper, Decremer, Jimenez, Palmer, and not sure what is going on with Mejia. We are not a 2 overall team with all those dudes out. I can’t remember a beaver team being this decimated by injuries. Let’s hope a bunch of those guys will recover and get back to full strength for us this year. I heard Caraway is out at least a month with a broken finger. Kasper supposedly “re-aggravated” his lower leg injury in the CSUN series. Jimenez and Decremer are done for the season with, I’m guessing, Tommy John. The other four pitchers, who the heck knows on a timeline for return, or even the exact injuries for that matter? |

I agree we need the arms back in the bullpen, but what really matters is being hot in may. Abel did not have problems early. Abel did bean at least one batter in seven consecutive starts. However, Abel then settled down and only beaned one over his final six starts. |
