Okay, maybe not, but it had nice alliteration to it.
Beavs lost twice to UCLA this year, but kept it under double digits both games. Pope was not the high scorer in either of those games. He needs to score more and need to keep Bruins off the offensive boards. They averaged 13.5 in first two games.

He needs to score more and need to keep Bruins off the offensive boards. They averaged 13.5 in first two games. Pope has trouble with any quick athletic guards/wings that can get over screens and keep him in front. UCLA has depth in those positions defensively, but can be very weak on the offensive end which will keep OSU in the game. If Bona plays smart he is the difference in a close game vs a double digit UCLA win. If you look at OSU's Pac12 wins they have to shoot abnormally well: USC... 59.6% FGA... 66.7% 2PFGA... 47.1% 3PFGA... 31 FTA... 86 points Arizona... 56.2% FGA... 53.6% 2PFGA... 60% 3PFGA... 24 FTA... 83 points ASU... 56.5%... 71.8% 2PFGA... 21.4% 3PFGA... 49 FTA... 84 points Stanford... 52.7%... 60% 2PFGA... 40% 3PFGA... 23 FTA... 85 points Utah... 51%... 58.6% 2PFGA... 40.9% 3PFGA... 37 FTA... 92 points Where their losses they have averaged 62.0 pts/g... unless the script is flipped somehow OSU best score 75-80+ to win??

Not as worried about Pope as our big men. They have to control Bona and get him in foul trouble or he will destroy us. He is similar to Dante from uo. We have no consistent answer for either of them.

Beavs can win if we keep their offensive rebounds to a minimum and Pope gets 20+ points. UCLA has killed us on O boards and kept Pope under control in the two losses, so the script has to change.

Well, the players should be pumped up knowing that everything will be exactly the same next year!

I know nothing of the guy's mental fortitude or work ethic, but at 12.4/6.0 for the season he is well below what it looks like he could be!? Certainly not a NBA guy at this point, but could see him just go off. Luckily he averages about 4 fouls and 2 turnovers a game. WT just needs to run Marial, Ibekwe, Marrs, Ndong, etc at him and use all 20 fouls to frustrate him. I've actually employed a back up "hatchet man" technique, starting the game with a deep sub to shove a little, front aggressively, not give up an easy shot to frustrate and draw offensive post up fouls early in a game. Get Bona frustrated, sitting long minutes, and he'll try to press and do too much later. But, you have to know the temperament of the opposition. Calm/cool players make it back fire.

Heck, Ndong played last game... although it was just the last 20 or seconds or so, and he wasn't expected to even move as far as I can tell. I'd love it if it's back to playing condition, but I kinda doubt we'll see him. I guess Marrs could go in and pick up some early fouls, but I'm afraid we don't have the depth to employ the "hatchet man" technique effectively.

He did dress and actually got on with 30 seconds left along with the senior walk-on and Mars.
