I'm pretty sure as a Parade All American John Elway's team didn't have a losing record. Sorry, I don't follow high school stats. I prefer to have a life.

....and this thread right here sums up the absurdity of college football recruiting. Couple of grown men sniping at each other over a sixteen year old picking a school (not our school either!) that he isn't officially committed to for another 18 months or so. This kid could flat out suck in two years. I'm pretty sure we all grew up with some kid or another that physically peaked around 13 or 14 and it was all downhill once everyone else caught up. Until they put the jersey on and show what they can do in the Pac-12, it's all lip service. I've probably followed recruiting more closely this year than in any year in the past because I'm curious to see if Andersen is THAT much better than Riley, but aside from Simi Kuli and DeAnthony Thomas, I don't remember a single player recruited by either Oregon or Oregon State that I knew with certainty would be an all-conference force, and even then I was wrong on one of them.

No sniping here. I just don't follow high school kids, other than my own .
