I just stumbled across Fred Boyd's Wiki and had not realized he died back on Oct. 8th of last year. Don't remember anyone mentioning it here on this board so thought I would throw it out there today: Fred was one year younger than yours truly |

Yeah, it wasn't here, but I think it was on the BBall board. He sure left a lot of good memories for us that got to watch him play. I'll never forget the game he sat out against BYU when the Black Student Union protested the Cougars' racial policy (no black players). Supposedly, Freddie was conflicted and Valenti had him sit. What a great player and Beaver representative he was.
