Stanford's road games in Year One in the ACC: Clemson, Duke, GT, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pitt, Wake Forest, SMU, Cal. Both will have road trips to South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Texas. Both will have two to North Carolina, unless they do a triple-header journey.  |

All the more reason to believe the ACC will look to build a West Coast division or pod once it loses some teams in realignment.
If not, then hey, Cal and Stanford can probably return to the fold and the four schools can serve as a base for some sort of Pac-12 rebuild.

How does realignment--and this Cal/Stan to the ACC--is the most geographically radical, affect recruiting?
If "student athlete" isn't a myth, surely weeks' worth of commuting to play hoop eviscerates academics. And family involvement.
Does commuter league culture cause some prospects to choose regional leagues? |

Does commuter league culture cause some prospects to choose regional leagues? I think there is going to be some consideration on life balance for some, but it probably is going to relate more to being recruited against by the rest of the schools in the conference as Calfurd is basically in Siberia. |
