OK, I know this is out of left field, but why not pep bands at certain sporting events - like baseball? How did that tradition or non-tradition start, or rather never start up? Football is outdoors and they have marching bands. For baseball, is that an aversion or an omission? Doesn’t have to be the whole band. Could be a smaller version, like an Oompa band, one sees in Germany. They could wander around the stadium. That idea sort of goes with hotdogs and mustard and beer. Just wondering. I love the band at basketball games. Any thoughts while you await the next game??

I've been to UCLA games a couple of times. They have an about 15 person band at the games. I liked it.

I may be in the minority here but bands at baseball games can be annoying---I like the organ music being piped in to get the crowd going but I've been to a couple of Mariner games at Oakland and that band they have is truly annoying---they never shutup---constantly clanking and banging throughout the game!

Bands are awesome at basketball and football games. Love the live bands!
Having said that, a band has no place at a baseball game or a hockey game. Freaking un-American!
If you can't afford an organ, you pipe music in. There is no other alternative. Basta!

Let’s go full on Japanese baseball style. Each player has his own song/chant. Fans banging. Band playing. And when the opponent is up, it’s as quiet as a church. Great fun!

Having been to a couple of pro games in Tokyo, I thought it was really fun. Everyone (except for me?) knew when it was their time to make noise or to be quiet, loved having a band there. Was like a cool crossover between baseball and a Timber's game. Also having vendors run up and down the aisles with a little backpack keg was *chef's kiss*

I for one think we need something for the fans to get into. A band playing music would be awesome. I think we need to a “ball 4” chant like what Texas A&M does.

Somewhat on the topic.... What's better than roses on your piano? Tulips on your organ!

Let's just do the beaver slap thing and get a live DJ. Modern sports baby I like the idea of a tail slap for Goss. Similar to the chop the Braves do in the MLB. Could be a unique thing to start at the college level.
