Just saw the score. Great job, Beavs!! I noticed TVO’s stat line was pretty empty. Just resting for tournament? Thanks

An obvious observation but it’s devastating to an opponent to have such an efficient 5 paired with an inside/outside 4 threat like Timea. Opponents have to choose whether to double Rae with their 4 or keep her close to Timea at the perimeter. Pick your poison. Case in point

Beers got doubled a lot. She forces people open just getting the ball into her hands. Massive impact on this team in every way to have her back. As well as they played without here, the level of difficulty ramps way up for this team to score .

Love that run out by Paurova off the rebound. Easy basket at the other end. Paurova really is a great facilitator in the open court and on fast breaks. Makes the right decision quite a bit and has really good timing on passes. Dom and Timea run a sweet 2-man game off the base line. Paurova gets ball, dribbles past her defender, Timea drops to the baseline corner. If Dom sees the opponents didn't switch properly she dumps to Timea for 3 [did it today and against Stanford (7 points)]. If they do switch she goes in and gets a lay-up. If Dom gets two many lay-ups they try to double her but she still dishes to Timea. Against Stanford Timea missed back-to-back threes off that (the 2nd shot rimmed out). The Stanford game was totally a game of inches (off an inch here of an inch there) without #15 inn the game . This team runs so many 2-man games during play. As a whole the Beavs are great at recognizing plays in the middle of the game. My favorite play is the back door lob to a cutter, but that is a 3-man play. The strong side forward moves to screen the weak-side forward, since her opponent is moving towards the rim, the center then screens the strong side forward, if the center's defender simply follows the center, the lob happens and ... BUCKET! I have watched this play over and over again and cannot see any signal from anyone, bench or otherwise, they just appear to "see" it based on the defensive alignment. During the mingle today, while waiting to congratulate Dom, someone pointed out that she had some dirt on her right sleeve (she wears long sleeves). Dom looked at it, brushed it off and said, "That's just how I play." Made me laugh, but it is true!

Raegan on the floor is so impactful. Her defense is so impressive. Someone mentioned how Cal missed so many at the rim. The reason is Raegan plus whoever is the other OSU BIG in the game with Raegan. Our defense in the post is so much better when the other OSU BIG can help out because Raegan is a stopper and a great defensive rebounder. Raegan also sets the absolute best screens. Gives our shooters an extra second because defenders have a difficult time getting around a Beers' screen.

TVO didn't even get a shot off and yet she had the 2nd best +- on the team. Cal wasn't going to let her beat them, but in the process it left every other Beav open. I think if you asked TVO she'd be just fine with no points and the win.

That was a fun game to watch. Great to have Raegan back, the team is so different without her. She changes the game even on the bench, cal had to rest their primary bigs when she was off the court.
I haven't seen it mentioned recently but Dom is given their 4 to defend a lot. Without Raegan she was tasked with the 5 at times and she does a pretty good job at it.
Kennedie's first shift she struggled a bit. When she came out she tried to sit down the bench a ways but Aleah wasn't having any of that. She called her to sit next to her and they had a fairly animated conversation. It lasted a couple plays. When Kennedie returned to the court it looked like things were clicking better for her.
Speaking of Aleah, a couple times this weekend she put her arm around Donovyn. It looked like she was just reinforcing Donovyn's play. TVO had a couple rough moments in the Stanford game. Both times Rueck pointed for her to sit next to Aleah. While the game against cal wasn't her best game TVO was solid on defense and kept a player or two busy on the offensive end.
Timea possess a skill set that creates problems to game plan against. She is a solid defender and can play against taller players. On the other end of the court she has a beautiful shot.

Second half featured the fastest, rebound-to-front-court play I've ever seen at Gill WBB. Long, sometimes daring, passes. Mostly complete.
Push that moofoo!

Push that moofoo! That was so exciting to watch! Love the athleticism and skill! That long lead pass from Dom almost caught Dono wrong-footed but she athletically adjusted on the fly and made something difficult look easy.

I think if you asked TVO she'd be just fine with no points and the win. Krimili also didn’t score. She was the one player that worried me, and she got nothing. You can’t fault TvO for forcing things in this game - she let the game dictate her opportunities and those went to her teammates who delivered

Rae certainly looks none the worse for what she's been through. You wouldn't know looking at her and hearing her talk that anything out of the ordinary happened 2 weeks ago. Also, after today's game the case for starting Dom (18 min, 4 pts) over AJ (19 min, 12 pts) is not quite as compelling as it might have seemed before. And one last intriguing stat. Raegan Beers - 29 minutes, 0 personal fouls.
