1. Need to lock down first-round bye in Pac-12 tournament. 2. Can't afford losses to unranked, low RPI teams for NCAA seeding and first round hosting. 3. Need to end regular season on a positive note - whether or not Rae plays. Positive mojo heading down to Vegas on a short week with travel that starts on either Wed or Thu.
BEAT CAL - THEN ON TO VEGAS TO CUT SOME NETS!!
(btw, judging by a few of the shots of Rae yelling for her teammates, there's nothing wrong with her jaw or her teeth. Didn't see any visible evidence of residual swelling)

I thing the most important thing is to get healthy and back to playing like the were a few weeks ago come tournament start. They are dangerous to anybody in the tournament at that point.

Had Timea's 3 footer gone in, as it certainly looked like it was going to, who knows how the game ends. With or without Rae (I'm guessing without), I think the team will definitely be up for this game. Win, and they almost certainly play 2 more at Gill; lose, and they don't. They'll get it done tomorrow.

As I alluded to in another thread GET OFF TO A GOOD START SHOOTING THE BALL PLZ! Absolutely right. When we beat Colorado and Utah both times the Beavs offense was off to the races from the start. I know that Beers was playing in those games, but I think that we have the offensive players who can make that happen without Beers. Those players need to start and not be subbed in when we have already been ineffective on offense for up to half of the 1st quarter. Would be nice to see an adjustment made in this direction for this last league game before tournament.

Heard from a good source today that Beers will play. Great news.

Heard from a good source today that Beers will play. Great news. I just hope she is able to play, if she can I'd expect a monster game from not just her but the whole team.

Yes---hope she can play and get the kinks out and get used to wearing her mask so that she'll feel more ready for the tournament! I don't think we need her to beat Cal at home, but there is always the possibility that the huge amount of energy and effort we put forth against Stanford could take its toll on the team coming right back for an early noon game on Sat.

Even if she suits up, plays a few mins, it will create havoc with Cal's game plan, at least initially.

I'd expect the crowd to go crazy if she sees action.

Absolutely for sure, but I would say we are a much better team now than we were then plus we'll be at home so even if she doesn't play I'm confident we can beat them especially considering the 1st round tour. bye is on the line!

Along these lines, I might start Lily instead of AJ and see if that doesn't help kick start things. I would do this with or without Rae.
