I know you don't go to prison until you are 18 and I think in Oregon there's some discretion for 18 - 21. Anyway, he said Kinkle was a good guy when he was on his meds. But if he wasn't taking them, look out. |

Anyway, he said Kinkle was a good guy when he was on his meds. But if he wasn't taking them, look out. Very sad, and a story you hear repeated often. |

Kinkel was transferred form juvie to the Oregon State Correctional Institute a little more than 10 weeks before his 25th birthday. |

But if he wasn't taking them, look out. yeah my coworker at the time of the shooting grew up in Springfield and knew both of the parents - think she had one of them as a teacher. If I recall, he was paranoid schizophrenic. Can't believe it's really been 25+ years. |

Extremely sad. Still is extremely sad. Theres a fifth component to that formula but I won’t name it because people freak out and we don’t want to go there. Suffice it to say the first 4 don’t add up to a mass murder without the 5th. |
