Unfortunately was injured throwing in a spring training game the other night and will need TJ surgery.
He was one of KC's top prospects.

That's really unfortunate. However saying he is one of the Royals top prospects is probably overrating him. He is not on the Top 30 Royals prospect list by Baseball America.

One of 10 non-roster pitcher invitees, six of whom are in the Royals' Top 30 prospects list. He was one of 23 non-roster invitees total. A lot of the "Top 30" rankings are based on potential. In actuality, Chamberlain was one of the Royals' most complete pitching prospects, even if Baseball America did not buy into Chamberlain's potential. |
