Somebody please confirm that I'm right, or correct me if I'm wrong, on the following.
Colorado and Utah both have 6 losses. If we lose one this weekend, and they both win out, all three have 6 losses, and we get the 4 seed since we beat both twice.
If we win both, and USC and UCLA win both, all three have 5 losses. We lose the tiebreaker to USC, but what is the second tiebreaker with UCLA?
If UCLA gets the second tiebreaker, we are still the 4 seed. So, as long as we win one this weekend, we're the 4 seed. Have I got that right?

I believe the second tie breaker with UCLA would be how well you did against the team ranked above you....that being Stanford. UCLA and Stanford only played once and UCLA lost. I'm assuming when we beat Stanford Thursday...that would give us the tie breaker with UCLA.

If there is a multiple team (more than two) tie, the next step is to take the "collective head to head during the conference season". It's all explained here: pac-12.com/womens-basketball-standingsSo, if all 5 teams were to tie for second, Beavs would have a 5-3 record against the other 4 teams. In your example, if the Beavs tie with Colorado and Utah, the Beavs have a 4-0 record against them, so yes they would get spot number 4.

The way I look at it the more games we win, the better our seeding. Perhaps that is oversimplifying.

If Colorado, Utah, Oregon St, UCLA and USC all ended up tied for second, it would start like this: Oregon State 5-3 against this group UCLA 5-3 against this group USC and Utah 4-4-Colorado 2-6
Oregon State and UCLA would then be tied. The next tie breaker is how they did against the top rated team (Stanford). Both teams are now 0-1. If the Beavs were to beat Stanford they would be the 2nd seed. If they lose to Stanford, they would be the 3rd Seed. This is all presuming all these teams finished 12-6. If the Beavs beat Stanford, hopefully they then beat Cal as well and finish 13-5. If UCLA and USC finish 13-5 as well, USC would get 2nd with a 3-1 record against UCLA and Oregon State. UCLA would get third with a 2-2 record, and the Beavs were 1-4 for fourth seed.
There are still a number of possibilities with what happens this week.

Like Lute Olson, and other senior sages from a previous century, I dismiss the superfluous/self-congratulating/oxymoronic/usually predictable (OSU MBB miracle year excepted?) conference tournament fundraisers/body wreckers/Las Vegas bacchanals. (Though I watch, addictively. And will watch, with profound sadness, this last iteration.)
Far more important: slipping into the sixteen host school elite for March Madness. It is the true pinnacle, on the path to the summit. May it visit Gill spring equinox weekend!
NB: Please start Dom and Timea.

Thanks to all for the information.
FWIW, I wouldn't start Dom and Timea if Raegan is back, but I might consider starting Lily over AJ.
