I'm guessing baseball is not conducive in Fargo until about June Their first home game isn't until April 5. North Dakota gave up and dropped its program about 5-10 years ago. The smaller state colleges (Minot, Dickinson, Valley City, Mayville) still play I think, as does Jamestown University. Former MLB ump Gary Cederstrom played at Minot State. Ex-Angel star/Nebraska coach Darin Erstad is from Jamestown. Baseball in the Upper Midwest is not easy. Some teams still play tournaments at the Vikings new stadium. Before it was torn down the Metrodome was constantly used in February and March by Minnesota/ND/SD/Wisconsin programs. North Dakota dropped baseball after the 2016 season. |

Texas Tech rebounded nicely, 32-5 over Texas Southern.

Three games involving opponents and future opponents today: Missouri beat Cal State Bakersfield 6-3. Ohio State beat Arizona State 11-4. South Dakota State beat New Mexico 11-5. Cal State Bakersfield is now a perfect 0-8 with losses to Loyola-Marymount, @ San Diego State, and Utah. Cal State Bakersfield hosts San Francisco next weekend. Arizona State rebounded to win two of the final three against Ohio State to split the four-game series. Arizona State travels to Globe Life Field next weekend to play TCU and Texas A&M. New Mexico rebounded to win the final two games against South Dakota State. New Mexico hosts Hofstra this weekend. Minnesota got swept by Northeastern at the Twins' Complex in Florida. Minnesota now travels to Sacramento/Stockton to play Pacific and Sac State. Texas Tech swept Texas Southern, outscoring Texas Southern 68-14. Texas Tech hosts Gardner-Webb next weekend. North Dakota State won two of three against Pacific in Stockton. North Dakota State continues on its road trip to Corvallis. Cal State Northridge swept Utah Tech in Saint George. Cal State Northridge hosts San Diego midweek and hosts Nevada this weekend. Utah is off to an impressive start, 6-1, tied for the best nonconference record in the Pac-12 with Cal, Oregon, and Oregon State. The Utes beat UC San Diego, Loyola-Marymount, and Cal State Bakersfield. Utah is supposed to finish up with San Diego State tonight. Portland and USC went 1-1-1 against each other this weekend in Los Angeles. Portland now travels to Utah Valley. USC hosts Michigan midweek before travellingto Globe Life Field to play TCU and Texas A&M Washington lost to Pitt but beat Maryland in Texas. Washington hosts Santa Clara next weekend. Gonzaga lost two of three in Nashville against Vandy. Gonzaga plays at Austin Peay tomorrow before heading back to play BYU this weekend. |
