The 2025 MLB Draft will be pivotal for the OSU '25 recruiting class. The Beaver's '25 group is wall to wall with top prep baseball talent. Three of the '25 Beavers are listed on Baseball America's TOP-100 Draft prospect list. Also included are two roster players, Gavin Turley at No. 16 and Trent Caraway at No. 24. Both would be first round selections.
The preps making the list are Xavier Neyens at No. 18, Mason Pike at No. 22, and River Hamilton at No. 68. Neyens and Pike would be first round selections, Hamilton at the tail end of the second round.
The left handed hitting Neyens is one of the most dangerous prep HR threats in the country. Tremendous power and can play about 5 positions including pitcher. Pike is another LH hitter with fluid play at shortstop and on the bump where he sits on 94-95 mph. Hamilton is ascending on draft boards with a big blend of velo, spin and command.
Although not listed on the T-100, '25 recruits, SS RJ Holmes and 3B-RHP Ethan Porter are also part of most draft conversations today.
The Beavers have been incredibly fortunate recently by getting Turley and Caraway to campus, lets hope that trend continues.
