Only the NCAA could consider placing an NCAA "West" regional in Arkansas fair to the competing athletes.

Fayetteville has world class facilities. Certainly deserving of hosting a regional or championships.
Unless your school is hosting, you are always getting on a plane for conference meet, regionals and nationals. If the short hop to Arkansas impacts your performance, you have no business at nationals.

Oregon/Washington/California to Arkansas is not a short hop, it's 1,600 straight-line miles from Eugene/Corvallis to Fayetteville. Then add two hours from Little Rock to the meet site. Great they have great facilities. They should host the East Regional. The West Regional should at least be west of the Confederacy. |
