Do these types ever fall on their face out of corporate existence? Ok some do. Some even go to jail. But, most end up back in some leadership role and on multiple boards doing nothing for 7 figures+. Like Por sports... it is a giant recycling process. Are we talking college coaches, corporate hacks or ex-commissioners? asking for a friend Are two of those nearly the same?! Friend returned the query 😉

good god same thing. It’s not “interim”, it’s permanent. That easier for you to understand? LOL 🙄 She most likely won't be commissioner for a long time going forward. It's a full-time job, most likely on an interim basis. Not permanent by any means. LOL indeed. Why not? You think she is going to be fired? She was hired as the "full-time permanent" commissioner. Unless she does a terrible job in the next couple of years, or leaves on her own volition, she isn't going anywhere for now. Not sure why that is hard to understand for some of you.

LOL 🙄 interimnoun in·ter·im ˈin-tə-rəm Synonyms of interim : an intervening time : INTERVAL part-timeˈpärt-ˈtīm Synonyms of part-time : involving or working less than customary or standard hours ohhhh look at you, being all able to use a dictionary!!! Wow, I had no idea you were able to look up definitions, and all on your own even! You totally burned me my king. I hope you will allow me to continue to exist with you vast knowledge of all things. Oh wait, I forgot, I really don't care.

If we do a reverse merger with the MWC, still a very possible option, Glorida Nevarez will be the commissioner. The new commissioner is a comfortable, stopgap placeholder whose qualifications appear to be familiarity with the conference and not being George K.

The fact that this seems to have been a quick internal promotion vs a more lengthy national search, should signal to most people that it’s a less permanent hire for a position like this.

Articles haven't mentioned it. I guess we will know more if they announce contract details. If this is a two year deal, well, there you go.

I think the contention is she's a de facto interim commish, without the interim title. But who knows, maybe she'll be great at the job and merit full-time consideration should the conference exist beyond the spring of 2026.

She'll only be commissioner until September. Then what? We accept our invitation to the B1G and where we go on to defeat MSU multiple years in a row until Smith moves on and somewhere, at some place, Erickson is swirling a scotch and muttering "I coulda told you the grass isn't always greener" THAT'S WHAT.
